Hello Steven;

I found your message interesting. My mother was a Terrell and her dad's family were originally from the Huron/Bryantsville area. She was born just northeast of Huron. Both the Tyndall and Dorsett family indirectly related to hers; in fact, her grandfather Henry W. Terrell's youngest sister Rebecca married George W. Dorsett.

Henry was born close to the little railroad community of Georgia, just east of Huron and west of Mitchell in 1823. However, I have never been able to find out who his parents were. There were several Terrell lines in that tiny community in the early-mid 1800's and it is difficult for me to believe that they were not all connected in some way. Some claim to have come from Kentucky, but I am almost positive Henry's family came directly from North Carolina. His oldest sister, Margaret Elizabeth was born January 20, 1816 in North Carolina according to all the census.
