Do you know whether or not there are any primary sources to prove this?
I have read that Sarah re-married to a Mr. Ward. Are there any records to prove this? Was there a Ward family in Albemarle County? With her being such a staunch and prominent Quaker, there should be a record of that marriage in Quaker minutes.
Her father left a will in 1754. At 38 with 6 children and without a husband or father, she must have felt the need to have re-married very soon.
