Hi Joanie,
I received your response, thank you for getting back with. I did not post on
ancestry.com as I do not have access. We have long had our lineage back to
John Turrell. However, there are a number of family members searching.
It seems as though John popped up in NY married twice had 4 children, moved
to FL and died. Our Family lore is, we came from England on the "Lion" abt.
1630. I believe this may be true, but probaly not the Turrell as It was told
to my GGrandfather Guy Hanford Turrell by his Great Aunt Emily (Turrell)
Semlear, John's daughter by 1st wife, hearing from her grandfather that
lived in New London, CT. I'm have never been able to find that grandfather
be he a Turrell or Semlear.
I do have the Hanford line with many attached lines as well. Also Ayers and
Pinckney lines if I may be of help.
