Sylvia, I just saw your message. I don't go on the Terpening site very often. Go to www.familysearch.org and type in Henry Terpening - search on all the boxes that come up for your ancestor. You will find his line beginning with progenitors Lambert Huybertse Brink and Hendrickje Cornelisse who arrived in America Jan. 1661 (son Cornelius being born on the voyage) to:
Gerret Brink (who changed his name later to Terpenning),wife Antje Lysbeth Hooghland-t,
to Teunis Terpenning and Margeriette/Margrieta Grietjen DeGraaf,
to Hendricus Henry Terpening and Maria Anneke Maritie Van Aken, to
Levi Terpening, m. 1st to Catherine Catrina Gee, 2nd to Antije Anna Blanche Koole. Then to Levi and Catherine's son
Henry L. Terpenning b. 12-25-1787 who married
1st. Sarah Byram 15 Apr. 1810
2nd. Esther/Hester Palmontier Barton.
I don't see that my book includes Levi and the others forward, but his info. is on the above search site. Click on Hendricus Henry Terpenning #46 also. Good luck. Elsie Harmon
