Fred,
I've emailed you before. I got it out of an insert that was given at one of the family reunions to go into the green book. It was sent to Aileen Terpening. Here's what is written concerning that date.
Gerret Lambertzen, the ancestor of the Terpenning family of Ulster County, New York, came from Amsterdam (now New York), on March 5, 1664, when he-Gerret, acted as sponsor to the child Theunis, son of Jan theuniszen and wife Marie Jans, this entry being recorded on page 72 of the New York Dutch CHurch Record.
The other night I was surf'n the web about this and was getting so confused so, I posted this to see what I would get back. In Aileen's
Records I've never seen the Brink Family mentioned and then other people come up withall these different spellings and putting people and names together I was really getting confused. This that I have goes back to 1664-1904 Some guy in New York did it for Aileen.
Mom, Emma Mae Terpening-Anderson GGGGGranddaughter of all of this I don't even know if I have the greats right. I know it is possible to get more info today but it just amazes me and on my husbands side of the family it's on the net and they have people that are still alive dead, names wrong, etc.,
You can email me at [email protected] or
[email protected] . I have to download into yahoo the phenwick address on account of my oldest girl messed something up. but will get anyway. Be looking forward to hear from you and also hope you can make the reunion on
Sept 3, Labor Day week end. Pass the word around if you can.
Thanks!
Linda
