John, according to this webpage, Abraham was the son of Albert and Maria, born 2Aug1760, died 1854. Interestingly, both his parents died 15May1816 in Fleming Co. Ky.

It's doubtful Abraham was known to nor is one of the figures in the Leutze painting, since it was painted in Germany in 1851 and is commonly considered to be symbolic rather than an historical record of the crossing. Note the figure that is thought to be Abraham Terhune is wearing a Scotch bonnet.
