We have just purchased a farm that was originally owned by Charles Lemuel (CL) Terhune and his wife Mary (Rutledge). CL is the son of James & Ann Terhune of Petersburg, IL, who came from Fleming Co. KY just after they were married.
I have done lots of research on James b.1829 & Ann b.1831 Terhune and their children and I'd be happy to share it. I am looking for any descendents of their son, CL Terhune ("Uncle Lem" to some). Their children were Robert E. Terhune b.1887 and Mabel Anna (Terhune) Cobb b. 1892. Their third son Paul Rutledge Terhune b. 1897 died at age 21 with no descendents.
If you have any information on Terhune's in the Petersburg IL area I would love to talk with you. My ultimate goal is some early photos of the house that CL Terhune built as we intend to renovate it this summer.
