Hello Lee,
Remember me? I wrote to you about three years ago about Charity Tarbush who, I believe, married William Rarrick who was born in Dutchess County and then relocated to Yates/Steuben Counties in Western New York.
At that time you contended that Charity Tarbush married Alexander Sutherland and they had children. How sure are you of that?
One Jacob Tarbush appears in the 1820 Yates Census, and Cornelius Tarbush appears in the 1825 and 1835 censi of Yats. Further, both William Rarrick and Cornelius Tarbush appear in a list of caretakers of Town of Barrington, Yates County roads 1826-1851. Another researcher---very competent and reliable---believes William Rarrick's wife Charity was, in fact, Charity Tarbush, daughter of Peter Terbosch and Susan Griffin and sister of Cornelius.
Are you absolutely, positively sure he is wrong?
Thanks,
Philip Mann
