Polly, I just came across some info regarding my ggggrandparents and found that Barbara Shuman was the mother of Mary Tenpenney who married John Peden. They had a son J. W. Peden who married a Salley or Sarah Whiteley and this line goes down to me and my children. James W. and Sarah were married December 27, 1845. I am trying to go back with the Peden line and it is possible that they came from the same N. C. county and I am going to check there. Thanks for adding another link to my lines. Any other questions you can email me at Charlowig@aol.com
