1827- "Caution, whereas my wife Christina Furney (sic) left my bed and board and eloped with one Allen TENNIS the night of the 28th inst, after being caught in the act of adultery with said Allen Tennis, a single man who is a resident of the town of Bellefonte in Middleton Twp., Columbiana County and who is a brickmaker by trade, about 5 feet 7 inches high, red hair and much summer freckled; I hereby forewarn all persons from trusting and harboring her on my account as I am determined not to pay any debts of her contracting after this date and will prosecute to the utmost vigor of the law any person who will protect her.
