Samuel Tennis who married Eleanor Sacheverell was the son of Abraham and Ann Tennis of Richland Twp., Bucks Co.,Pa.,not Samuel and Catherine (Morgan) Tennis. This is wrong info posted in the I.G.I.index cards. I,ve researched this at the Spruance library from orphan court records and deeds. I can prove this to anyone who is interested. Samuel and Eleanor went west about 1790 and settled in Washington, Mason Co.,Kentucky where they are buried. They had 8 daughters and 1 son John. I've learned this by trying to find info on this Samuel's older brother, William who married a Rachel and they had at least 1 son George who I think settled in Derry Twp., Dauphin Co., Pa., in 1810.
If anyone can help me on this William and another brother Abraham and 1 sister Sarah Tennis who married a William Shaw and had 1 son George Shaw ( died young ) please contact me. Thanks
