Philo Tenney married Florida Casto on 7 Jan 1880 at Upshur Co., WV. Philo was widowed at the time of his marriage to Florida. Wes Cochran, Upshur County Marriages 1851 - 1896 (Wes Cochran, 2515 10th Ave., Parkersburg, WV, August 1992). for all of the above info except for the fact that he was widowed, also Marriage Record of Philo E. The father of Philo Tenney who was married to Olive & Florida is also a Philo Tenney. The older Philo Tenney’s parents are James Tenney and Thankful Shippee. This Philo died
31 Jan 1876 at Upshur Co., WV due to kidney disease. He was married to Rebecca Casto. He was born about 1810 in Massachusetts. Death Record of Philo Tenney, 31 Jan 1876, Upshur Co. Death Register 1853, p. 38, line 32, Upshur Co. Circuit Court, Buckhannon, WV. The older Philo was buried at Casto Cemetery, Upshur Co., WV. The Upshur County Genealogical Society, Buckhannon and Warren District Cemetery Readings (Buckhannon: Distributed by Upshur County Historical Society, P.O. Box 2082, Buckhannon, WV, 1998). His marriage to Rebecca Casto is also noted in John R. Rohrbach (Rohrabaugh) 1728-1821 Descendants and Marriage Connections, by James D. Rorabaugh, McClain Printing Co., Parsons, WV (1966).
