Barbara Sisco,

It looks like your not getting anyone to respond to your messages. Sorry! I have been investigating my grandfathers on my dad's side for many years, the Beers'. Finally, by the help of another unsuspecting genealogist out there I found my grandfather, Clair Beers dad is Birt S. Beers who was born in Middlebury, Elkhart, Indiana. His dad was Jonas Beers who was married to Rosetta R. Lamphear. It is Rosetta's mother, Lucy Lamphere (Sisco), that got me to investigate her. You Sisco's, Cisco's, Sisson's etc etc are a handful to find across the pages of history! (A lot like the Beers's!)

An 1850 Indiana Elkhart Census on Abel Lamphere only shows Lucy Sisco as Mrs Lamphere. However, the family names and ages are given: Orrilla 20yrs; Roxa 16yrs; Lucy 12yrs; and my ggggrandmother, Rosetta R. Lamphere, 10yrs old, and born 1840, but (according to an 1880 Indiana Census) dies before 1880. Lucy Lamphear (Sisco) obviously is born around 1803. I did an extensive US CENSUS research on Sisco, in particular, from state to state and found John F Sisco, about the same age as Lucy Sisco Lamphear, living south east of Columbus Ohio. He is said to be born in Ohio by an 1870 OHIO Census, Fairfield County, Berne Township, around 1811. Therefore, whether Lucy and John are related and how, I don't know.

My wife, Jennifer, and I live in Nixa, Missouri.

Thanks. Nice talkin' to ya!
