Portrait of Lena Helen Ten Broeck (1803-1839) of Germantown, NY
The November 2009 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on page 11 displays an excellent portrait of Lena Helen Ten Broeck, 1803-1839, of Germantown (Columbia County), New York, painted in 1834 by the great NY folk art painter Ammi Phillips.
This fine portrait should be made known to the Ten Broeck family. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by them. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value.

If it were a portrait of a 19th century Pease family member, I'd certainly hope someone would do the same for me.
