I am researching the Joseph Templeton family from Lawrence, Washington Co., OH. He was in Lawrence, Washington Co. in the 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census. He was married to Mary A. ??, b. ca 1824 in Ohio, married about 1840-1844 and had the known following children: Jacob (1850 census, age 5) - and in the 1870 census, had: Nancy J., 23; John, 21; Elizabeth, 19; Hannah, 17; Mary C., 15; Robert, 12; Calvin, 9; Margaret, 4; and Isabelle, 1.
He may be the son of George Templeton, b. ca 1781 in Pennsylvania, but not sure.
