Thanks for the reply. The info I have is a Thomas Templeton married a Mary "Wigfield" in Lincoln County, NC, which is next to Iredell County. This Thomas and family appear in the 1800 NC census in Lincoln County.
As to the the comments regarding "at least 2 or 3 Thomas Templetons" in the area and the Thomas associated with Margaret Templeton. Margaret Graham married John Templeton and they lived in Iredell County. When John died (1788), Margaret was assigned administrator of the estate. She moved to York County, SC, to be near her mother, taking sons Thomas, William, John and Ezekiel. Son James remained on the land in Iredell County, NC. SC census and other records show the family living in SC. Page 432-437 of Deed Book E has a recording for 24 Feb 1804 stating Margaret, William, John, Thomas and Ezekiel were living in York County, SC, and James was living in Iredell County, SC. That deed action gave James 110 acres on Davidsons Creek, but he was to relinquish rights and claims to all other lands of his father John, deceased. The deed action you referenced for April 1804 is where the family sold the remaining acreage.
