I am wondering whether the Temperleys you are researching have anything to do with on of my Great, Great Grandmother of mine called Mary Temperley. I kow very little of the Temperley family.

Early in the nineteenth century, Mary Tamperley married John Young Gourley, a shipowner of Sunderland. They lived at St ede's Terrace, on the south side of the Wera. They may have been congregationalists, worshipping at the Grange Church in Sunderland. I have looked long and hard for the recors of this church but cannot find them.

Any connection?
