I am working on Sarah Thompson Edwards Teller, Olive's mother. Has anyone run across any information on Sarah's marriage to Isaac Teller? I am descended from Olive's sister Lucinda Edwards Warwick Widener. Lucinda, Olive, and Sarah were charter members of our church.
Most of the information I have comes from "Edwards: Progenitors, Siblings, Descendants of Andrew Edwards," by Lela Lillian Lones. I was able to get the book by Interlibrary loan years ago. It doesn't mention Sarah's second marriage, however. Sarah married Isaac Teller in Clark Co, OH in 1828. They are in the 1830 census in Ohio. Then Sarah turns up in the Lafayette Presbyterian Church rolls with daughter Olive Edwards in the early 1830s. Another daughter, Lucinda Warwick, joins too the following year, and all transfer to Dayton when that church is founded in 1834. Sarah is a party to a mortgage transfer in 1835 and 1849. Then I lose track of her. It just occurred to me that she might have gone with Olive. The name Hiram Edwards also shows up in land records near Dayton, but I know nothing further about this man, who is probably a brother.
Could Sarah have gone to Iowa with Olive and Isaac?
