Hello, I also have some information concerning the Telfords and Lucas families. Not sure if our information will connect or not. I have a William Lucas born about: 1786 in County Cavan, N. Ireland, died 20 May 1866 and is buried in Shawville Village Cemetery, Quebec. Married to Margaret Telford born about 1791 in County Cavan, N. Ireland, died 3 Jan. 1863, buried same cemetery as William.They had 8 children, Robert(spouse:Dorothy Corrigan), Elizabeth(spouse:Samuel Smiley), George, William(spouse:Catherine Stevenson), Jane(spouse:George Connelly or Conley), James(spouse:Catherine Tracy), John and Thomas. William and Margaret emigrated to Canada in 1822 with their first 3 children and settled in Huntley Twsp. Carleton County,Ontario but because of land difficulties moved the family to Bristol Twsp. Pontiac County, Quebec in or about 1839. So, do any of these names click? Did your James Telford marry Catherine Tracy? I am actually trying to trace Hariet Telford's family. She married George McNeill.
