Hi Robert. We trace our family back to Robert Robb who shows up in Muncy Township, PA in the early 1700s. He is on record as born in Muncy or Lycoming Co, PA. in 1727 and married to Susannah Fleming. He is brother to John (b. 1724 in Lycoming Co, PA), James (b. 1729 Lycoming Co., PA) and David (b. 1731, Lycoming Co, PA) Robb. Their father is listed as a "John" but not much is known about him, so I am guessing at the father's (John) birth date. However, the family is listed as Scot-Irish and then later in the same book as Scot descent. I take my information from a book "The Life and Times of Robert Robb, Esq."

Robert is my husband, Steve's, grandfather x 5. And we are trying to make the connection with the MacFarland Clan too. I suspect that this might not the case, but am less interested in the MacFarland connection than I am in finding the proper link to Scotland. I have read some of your other entries regarding the brothers coming in to South Carolina but have not been able to make a link to my husband's family.

If you see anything that might be helpful, I'd very much appreciate your help.

Marie Robb
