There is a slight possibility that your James and John Telford are the James and John in our family. There was one more brother, William. Their father was George Telford and they came from Ireland to the USA. Then they went up to Canada. Actually, it was a little more complex than that. If you are interested, go to

Scroll down to " a pedigree chart" and click. Look for John Telfod. He is on "generation #5" a little more than half way down. Click on the "i" beside his name and read the history. See if it might match what you have. We have been searching for James, and William for many years. It would be nice if they are your family, too.
