I am looking for information on the Talford line. We have traced back to a Robert Talford born in England in 1770 and married a Catherine (last name unknown). Two children were born in England, William born 1800 and Jonathan born 1801. Robert and Catherine moved to Chazy, New York around 1802 traveling through Canada. Other children born of this marriage were Mary who married a Mr. Bahan; Robert who was born in Chazy, died in 1843; William died in 1859; Jonathan married Sophia Loomis and they had 11 children - he died in 1858; Ruth born 1804 and died in 1865.
There are many Talford's in the Midwest. We would like to find out more on the Talford line going back to either England or Scotland. We're also not sure if the spelling of Talford came from Telford or Tilford.
Any help is appreciated.
