Hi Wanda, just found your message of July 10 requesting info on Molly Teets. I have info on her and her family that was given to me by a couple of other Teets researchers. Some of the data may not be accurate but will put you in the right neighborhood, I think. Hope this helps. Shirley
Molly Aletta Teets, born April 23, 1876, died June 19, 1914 at age 38 yrs, 2m, 26d. She married Alpheus Marion Meyers Oct. 9, 1895. He was born 1872 and died 1944. Molly is buried in Mountain View Mem. Park.

Mollie's parents were: George Harrison Teets and Lydia Catherine Wilhelm. George was born Feb. 6, 1847 in Va. and died April 11, 1926. He married Lydia Dec. 27, 1866. She was the daughter of John Wilhelm and Mary Martin. George served in the Civil War by stating he was older that he actually was. He gave land for the East View Cem where several of the Teets family is buried.

George Harrison's parents were: John M. Teets and Elizabeth Sisler. He was born 1819, she was born abt. 1817. His second wife was Louisa Cook. John was a blacksmith and farmer. He adopted Elizabeth and Robert Cook, children of his second wife. (Elizabeth Sisler was listed as 1/2 Sioux indian)

I have conflicting info as to who Old Mike's father was and whether he came from Germany or Holland. One paper states that the Teets name was originally Teacks and they were from Holland. As I said, this is all info provided by other people and you may find incorrect names and dates. If you spot anything, would you kindly let me know so I can correct my info.
