John, Thanks a million for the data. What a pleasure it is to finally read something of substance about my gggggrandfather George Teeters and his siblings. I have identified four children of John Teeters Sr. They are Henry, George, Michael and John Jr. Do you agree? George was last heard of in late 1823; Paint Twp., Wayne. Apparently he died. The Wayne Co. Genealogy Center has nothing on him but they told me since I found nothing in the local cemeteries he was probably buried on the farm. Anyway an 1823 tombstone may not have survived the time to the present.
Do you have any pics on the early TEETERS? I only have one photo; DAvid TEETERS and his wife Ann HART plus pics of their children at various points of old age. David is the oldest child of George and Susanne TEETERS.
You mentioned some stories that have been told about the TEETERS. I would give anything to see or hear them. There has got to be a sliver of truth in them.
Do you know where George and Susanne TEETERS were married and the year? I have thought that Somerset Co.; Pa is a likely location.
Do you think that John TEETERS Sr.'s parents came to America in the early 1700's? How did you arrive at that thinking?
I have interrogated you enough. I don't want to overdo my welcoming. Look forward to more data, stories about the TEETERS in America.
