Tipple-Teeple families
Recent research has determined that the Tipple family that descended from Johann Peter Diewel (Diepel, Diebel, Tippel, and other spellings, per Henry. Z. Jones' book, The Palatine Families of New York 1710) is probably related to the Teeple families of the Mohawk Valley and New Jersey.
A simple Y-DNA test can prove this theory. The Tipple-Teeple DNA Project at www.ftdna.com/public/teeple-tipple will provide a complimentary test to a man who descends from this Johann Peter Diewel (Hunter List #129) in a direct line. A simple pedigree is required showing his descent. I manage this project and am a Tipple descendant, but I'm a female and cannot take the Y-DNA test. My line is from my mother to Anna Tipple> John Franklin> John Henry> Henry> Johannes> Adam> Johann Peter Diewel.
