Bonnie,
Thank you very much for the all the info on Elmer Teed. It has answered many of our questions and filled in a lot that we were missing.
Nathaniel and Laura are not listed with Parmeliaette Molinx in Rifenburg Cemetery. There is a listing for a son Zaphaniah Teed, age 2 years, died Feb. 2, 1869, son of Nathaniel. If this child was born in 1867, then he would have been the son of Nathaniel and Laura.
I understand Elmer being at the Binghamton Hostipal.
I don't know if there was any insanity on the Teed side, but there was in his mother Laura's family.Laura's oldest brother spent about five years in the insane ward of the Delaware Co. Poor House, until it burned down in the 1860's.He then spent time in the Utica Asylum and several terms in the Willard Asylum in Seneca Co. NY, where he died. His records stated that he had "a sister and ancestors who were mentally ill."I believe it was an older sister (Elizabeth) who had the mental illness, not Laura. If the Elmer Teed in the Binghamton State Hospital was Nathaniel's son, then he was still alive in 1930, and possibly died at Binghamton.
Thanks again for all the information on Elmer.
