were these 2. george william teater.of kentucky and samuel gibson teater retired ohio brothers. were they, english teters or french teters dutch or german teters. from thier notes both of them had mostly scotch irish and english inlaws. both lived in non german areas. george was a presbyterian, desticnt to religion distinct to scotland england n .ireland, george was a large negro salve holder as were his sons and inlaws the pearis parris family. all or most of george teaters inlaws were from n carolina, some being part indian some part melungeon. both george and samuels wives appear to be of english extraction except if sarah pearis was part indian thats another discussion,

samuel teater did have a son inlaw keller yet the rest are mostly englisg backgrounds. we find then together as young men in the french indian war with many virginia and north carolina compatriots. samuel seemed to become a officer rather quckly and his men were just wholey all scoth irish and english settlers. several points are that .to be a officer in standing army or miltia within the brittish army a brittish officer one needed to be from a brittish miltary family or be appointed by a sr brittish officer or a brittish governor,. this is not to say there were not german officers , there were. but they were mostly in tradtional german communities. as the case of capt paul teter of pedelton co virg, yet he presided over german settlers and was in the area of supply.
samuel and george were in full combat units and were not in uniformed standing line units , they were guerella fighters in miltia units.
samuels intial religous affliation are unknown but he is mentioned several times in the history of the methodist church of america, this was a church distinct to london and the wesley brothers who created revivalism. or new methods.

1678 Tittertun, Mary 4 April 1678. 930 acres escheat land; formerly granted to Edward Titerton. to put it together by time line thomas tedder arrived 1635, there was a 40 yr period between this thomas and the thomas and edward tedder of coleman st london. then this edward titer here is living close to 2 william tettertons across the maryland line.

Tetterton, Will 1702 at least the the 1st william teterton arrived here by 1702 with thomas evans from gloucester virginia suggests he was edward titer sons be cuse he came with john lilley who lived near edward toter in gloucester. william teterton married sarah lilley. out of these teters was at least william samuel james teterton. then there was john tedder who arrived here in perquimans 1744, his son william teterton is noted as died here in 1690. that could explain the parents of old george teeder and benjamin tedder of beuafort , who lived very near the other family in tyrrell nc.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------william teterton was the borther of samuel teterton. he married elizabeth. we should keep in mind that george teater named his son william and samuel. and that george teater s full name was george william teater. also in 1786 a elizabeth titer and her husband thomas raynalds came from nc to buy 100 acres from george teater. could all that be coincedence ? this william also had family that was living in pitt co nc. in the 1780 martha titer joseph teterton william teteron elizabeth teterton. in the next county were george tedder jr his brother thomas tettor john tetterton william tetterton. its been suggested that the elizabeth titer that came with thomas reynolds was from lincoln co nc. not possible becuse the 1790 cenus 1800 census shows that the thomas reynolds there was still living there in those periods, therefore he couldnt of been the thomas reynolds living in kentucky with george teater,

Tyrrell County, North Carolina Deed Book 1 p, 108 col john worley was related to william teterton he was also related to the melungeon gibsons, and joseph worley was the brother inlaw capt samuel gibson teater,

WILL OF JOHN WORLEY
I, John Worley am dispersed to make my Will being in perfect health and sense and memory praised be to God for it. In the Name of God Amen, I give my soul to God whom created it and my body to be buried at the decoction of my executive. Then I give to my well beloved wife Ester Worley all my Estate after my debts are paid and the Plantation whereon I now live during her life and then the said Plantation after her life I give to my grandson Charles Maxey to him and his Heirs... Infully begotten and never to be sold and if the Charles Maxey should dye then to fall to John Gibson, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Gibson. Then I give to John Worley younger and my grandson the Plantation where his father now lives and so to a new line I make according to my own pleasure for the division but my will is that my son John Worley shall have the Plantation during his life but no liberty to sell it nor to rent it. Then I give to my son John Worley Junior one shilling starling. Then I give to my son William Worley one shelling starling. Then I give to my daughter Mary Maxey one shilling starling. Then I give to my daughter Elizabeth Gibson one shelling starling. Then I give to my daughter Christian Agee one shelling starling. Then I give to my daughter Jude Smith one shelling starling. And this is to be my last will and Testament, as written in my hand this 22 day of March 1757.
John Worley noted the gibsons were the family of john worley and john worley was related to william tetterton. here find elizabeth, william teterton married elizabeth, so then, elizabeth gibson. samuel teeder teterton ect was williams brother elizabeth titer from nc. bought 100 acres from george teater 1786 ky. so by the nameing patterns its getting established by timeline and names. samuel gibson teater , george william teater.

John Worley, 3rd appears to have been orphaned at a young ago. He died in 1794, leaving a Will in which he names his sons Lovick Worley, Joseph Worley and Robert Worley.
We now know that the Joseph listed in the Will is Joseph John Worley because of a 1797 indenture which refers to the property left in the Will and lists these three heirs, including Joseph John Worley of South Carolina. then who was joseph worley the brother inlaw of capt samuel gibson teater? there were 3 joseph worleys all thru old col john worley.Samuel Teeter was a relative of the family of John Doddridge, and soon followed them into what is now Independence township. He located a tract of land that contained three hundred and eighty acres, which was surveyed to him May 1, 1780, and twice resurveyed by an order of the board of property, Sep 15, 1784, and March 7, 1785. Upon the tract "Plenty" Samuel and Mary Teeter, with their sons Samuel and George, resided in a two-story log house, which stood near the house now occupied by Col. Asa Manchester. Northwest of the house and adjoining it was a fort known as "Teeter's Fort," which was not far from the "Doddridge Fort," and is well remembered by Col. Manchester. Around the house and fort Mr. Teeter. had built a stockade, which inclosed about one-eighth of an acre of ground. This stockade was built high above the house, and was constructed of logs sixteen feet long, which were split and set in the ground, with another tier placed over the interstices. Some of the logs which composed the house and fort of Samuel Teeter are still in use in the woodshed of Col. Manchester, who now owns and lives on the Teeter homestead. The property descended to him from Isaac Manchester, to whom Mr. Teeter sold it in 1797, when he removed to the State of Kentucky. the history of crumine says he removed to kentucky. that was staging point to remove with the igous to ohio, yet the igous lived down river from george teater while he had his farm in bakers creek washinton county virg.o Hopewell (now Independence) township in 1783, and purchased the property of Joseph Worley, who received the tract on a Virginia certificate granted Jan.28, 1780, which recites that it is situated "in the county of Ohio, on the waters of Buffalo Creek, to include his settlement made in the year 1773." It was assigned by Mr. Worley to Samuel Buchanan, and surveyed to him as "Comfort," containing three hundred acres, on the 19th of April, 1785. The creek on which it was situated was known as Worley's Run this joseph worley was married to the sister of samuel teaters wife, which made him capt samuel gibson teaters brother inlaw.3 Mary Biggs 1720/21 -

so could this all be coincedence or not? in addition to worleys and teters of tyrrell the biggs are noted there and that area back to the late 1600 s

Best, Thomas 1

Teeter George Jr. Madison 4/18/1789
Teeter Samuel Madison 4/18/1789
Teeter Samuel Madison 4/18/1789 in 1789 madison kentucky the tax list shows 4 george teters, 2 srs and 2jrs 2 samuels. we know that one george teater was george william teater married to sarah and the other was his son george teater jr married to mary van cleave we know that one samuel teater was also a son of george sarah, so there 2 more george teters and one more samuel.
Tiddor George Sr. 2-0-2-0-0
Tiddor George Jr. 1-0-1-0-0
Tiddor Thomas 1-2-4-0-0 this the 1790 dobbs census which shows that george tedder jr became george tedder sr with bother thomas. . again this george and thomas were the sons of old george teeder of beaufort and rowan co. yet for some reason they appeared for a short while with the george teater of kentucky his sons and one more samuel teater, the history of the methodist church indiactaes samuel was also out in the ky and holston area in the 1780s the crumine history states he removed to ky. so who else could this samuel teater be living with george teater and his family.
it should also be noted that capt samuel gibson teater named one daughter charity sons george and samuel susanahh . then the son of the george teater of kentucky who married elizabeth ray also named his children in the same manner as did the george teater of kentucky, yet we find the 1st charity in surry named with old samuel teeder.

in the 1800s early period parris teater was the methodist preacher of gunns chapel yet george teater and sarah were 1st presbyterians, the family converted over by the persuasion of who. it only could have been from that time capt sam teater was there with the family. so if all of its put in a nut shell it sure appears they were brothers from nc. form one of the teter brothers that lived in tyrrell.

NOTE THAT GEORGE TEDDER SR IS FOUND LATER IN ROWAN CO TAX PAGES AS TEEDER TEETER AND TEEDER JR
HIS OTHER SON THOMAS WAS TETTOR. HIS SON WAS LEFT WITH THE KY TEATER NAMED THOMAS TEATER 1796
NOTE BENJAMIN TEDDER WAS LATER FOUND WASHINGTON COUNTY AS BENJAMIN TETTERTON

CAPT SAMUEL GIBSON TEATER SIGNED HIS NAME AS TEATERTON.
THE GOVOF WASHINGTON CO NAMED THE GEORGE TEATER OF KENTUCKY AS SCOTCH ENGLISH AS DID HIS SON LAW CALEBCONNER BIO.
NOTES OF MINE SHOW BENJAMIN TEDDER AND GEORGE TEDDER OF BEAUFORT ARE SONS OF SAMUEL TETERTON AND MARY EVANS AS THE NAMING PATTERN SHOWS THEY WERE NAMED AFTER GEORGE EVANS AND BENJAMIN EVANS ,WHO MIGRATED WITH GEORGE TEDDER SR FROM BEAUFORT TO ROWAN CO.
