Found Mike's email about origin of Tebbetts very interesting. I'm descended from Frances Tebbit, 4x great grandmother, no record of her birth. She was not married when she had John Tebbet, born Hanslope, Buckinghamshire. He married in Potterspury, Northamptonshire. Their son William, my 2x great grandfather, came out to Australia in 1848. I was told another son went to America. I'm currently trying to trace some of the brothers and sisters of William - Stephen, Jesse, Joel, Mary Ann Zilpah, George and Frances - and their children.
