I was hoping your ggf was born before 1880, as I have census data to hand. Anyway, there are only four 1880 census entries with TEBBETS/TIBBETS children. I suggest the most likely is a househeld headed by Robert B TEBBETS age 30 and supposedly born in Ireland. (The B might be Bates!!!) The address is 1414 North Twelfth Street, St Louis. There were three young children. Robert's wife was Maggie (nee BARRETT - her brother was in the household).
Of course, I must urge caution until a link proven. If turns about to be incorrect I can offer other census data.
