Bruce, My gggrandfather was Orville Brooks who married Amy, b. 1811. My ggrandmother was Sarah who was born in 1849. They were all listed in the 1850 Whiteside county census, rather close together and I assumed that theyu were probably siblings, etc. Alphonsa, Pardon, Orville, maybe even George. Sarah married Seneca Teats in Whiteside County, Ill. Can't find too much about him except that he, too was born in NY and served in the ILlinois Volunteers of the Civil War. It has been a while since you posted this note so am wondering if you have found the parents of Eliza.

There was also a Christopher S. Teats listed in the 1850 whiteside co. Census but can't discover if there was any connection. I am also wondering if Seneca had a connection with Eliza, a cousin???

Thanks, Sharon
