Just finished a bit of poking around on the internet and came up with two possibilities for the name Biddy. The first is apparently Irish, a nickname for Bridget. The other is as a nickname for Obedience.
However, I also found references to two ladies who were called Biddy. The first was named Mildred Belle, the second was named Elizabeth.
Take your pick <grin>
