Becky,

I was just checking back with you to see how your research was going. I had already been in touch with Oletia Teas - as we both live in Houston, TX! She was also a great help to me - but, like you, we are not the same line. That left me wondering if your husband and I could be the same line. I haven't come across any Teas' in Alabama, but that doesn't mean they weren't there!

My first ancestor was Joseph Kerr Teas b. about 1700 in Lancaster Co., PA. d. about 1756 in Augusta Co., VA. I am descended from his son Charles, his son James C., his son Robert, his son Francis Marion, his son Bryan Stroud, and his son James Bryan Teas. James C. and Robert lived in Humphreys Co., TN for most of their lives (Robert later moved to Arkansas). Francis Marion moved to Denison, TX where Bryan Stroud was born. Bryan Stroud later moved to Houston, where my dad, James Bryan Teas, born.

I'll send you my GEDCOM file if you want it. Let me know if any of these names or places sound familiar. Post back to the message board, or email me at Jaimed1211@aol.com.

Jaime Teas Dilger
