J.W.,
There was a Magness Teague in Marshall co.,Alabama.He is distantly kin to my Magness Teague. My Magness was in Madison co.,Alabama and moved to Attala co.,Mississippi.They are both named after the old Magness Teague from North Carolina whose father was William Teague and married Elenor Simonson whose father was Magness Simonson of Union co.,South Carolina.Alot of Teague researchers have William Teague`s wife as Elenor Simonton with no shread of evidence, and it`s just incorrect. If you look at Magness Simonson`s will of 1795 in Union co.,South Carolina it clearly states my daughter Elenor Teague. The 1790 Census of South Carolina has William Teague and some of his brothers very close to Magness Simonson.I have seen Magness Teague on 1850 census of Marshall co.,Alabama but can`t remember if one of his children was Thomas Magness Teague.Hope I`ve helped some??
