If you're going back to England, maybe you can help me. I'm finding I need to know the children to match up with the parents. I'm looking for Thomas Taylor, father of George, and John Taylor, father of Mary, to see who they married and when and where. George and Mary were married in Bolsover, Derbyshire, England, Dec.1850. George was born about 1828, Mary about 1830. George's father is listed as Thomas Taylor, but no wife is given. Mary's father is listed as John Taylor, but no wife is given. George and Mary named their first child Emily,(b.c.1850) their first son John (b.1851 in Clowne, Derbyshire, England, my ancestor), then daughters Charlotte and Sarah born in 1863 and 1865, I believe. I have found possible matches with Thomas and the elder John, but without seeing their children, I can't match up. George's family emigrated to the U.S., settling in Connecticut by 1870. John married Josephine Doty of Croton, New York and their son Grant/Fredrick was my maternal grandfather, my Mom the only surviving of his children (82 now). Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Linda H. avonlindahaviland@sbcglobal.net
