Grandfather Of President Zachary Taylor. Zachary was born at Hare Forest, about 4 miles from Orange Court House; He had 7 sons and 3 daus. He was Vestryman St. Thomas Par. Orange Co. 1744. Meade says he had 7 sons and daughters. He received 1000 acres from his father's patent in Orange Co. VA, cir 1725; later named "Meadowfarm".
