I am looking for information on this family. I know that James and Delilah came to Pierson Township, Vigo County, Indiana from somewhere in Kentucky. I am looking for info on their ancestors and their descendants.
James TAYLOR (b. 1748) and Delilah UNKNOWN (b. 1775) – perhaps a second wife?
James had at least 2 children – George TAYLOR (b. 1806 in KY) and Jacob TAYLOR (b. 1808 in KY).
Children of James and Delilah Taylor:
George TAYLOR (b. 1806 in KY) married Cecilia UNKNOWN (b. 1796 in KY)
They had the following children:
1) James H. TAYLOR (b. 1831 in IN)
2) Thomas TAYLOR (b.1832 in IN) married his cousin Delilah TAYLOR (b. 1840 in IN) on October 18, 1860 in Vigo County, IN
3) Jacob TAYLOR (b. 1835 in IN)
4) Mary TAYLOR (b. 1850? in IN)
Jacob TAYLOR (b. 1808 in KY) married Eleanor/Ellen Whitaker (b. 1810 in KY) married on July 5, 1831 in Vigo County, Indiana.
They had the following children:
1) Nancy TAYLOR (b. 1833 in IN)
2) Isaac TAYLOR (b.1834 in IN) married Sarah UNKNOWN (b. 1841 in IN)
3) James B. TAYLOR (b. 1837 in IN)
4) Delilah TAYLOR (b. 1840 in IN) married her cousin Thomas TAYLOR (b. 1832 in IN) on October 18, 1860 in Vigo County, IN
5) George W. TAYLOR (b. 1842 in IN) married Sarah F. PETERS (b. 1859 in IN) on November 16, 1871 in Vigo County, IN
6) William E. TAYLOR (b. 1844 in IN) married Mary AKERS (b. 1859 in IN) mon December 9, 1875 in Vigo County, IN.
7) Francis TAYLOR (b. 1846 in IN)
8) Melysa TAYLOR (b. 1848 in IN)
9) Alonso TAYLOR (b. 1850 in IN)
My line is with George W. TAYLOR (b. 1842 in IN) married Sarah F. PETERS (b. 1859 in IN) on November 16, 1871 in Vigo County, IN – They had maybe 4 children…Nette, Daisy, Emery, and Joe/Orvil.
But I am interested in any of these relations. Please let me know if you have ancestor or descendent information.
