Richard Taylor/Tayloe

Anyone have any information on Richard Taylor/Tayloe of Bertie Co., NC? He received payment for Rev War service and is listed in the DAR Patriots index. (I'm sure his name was Taylor, but in the 18th century records names were spelled all sorts of ways. I've seen my Rice family name spelled Rise often enough.) Richard's daughter Rachel married my gggg grandfather James Rice around 1788. They had 4 sons and one daughter, the daughter being named Rachel Taylor Rice.
