Hi Maureen,

I have a few Taverner's of Newfoundland in my family tree.
There are still Taverner's to this day in the area of Trinity, Trinity Bay in Newfoundland back as far as the mid 1700's that "I" know of.
Have you checked out any of the Newfoundland genealogy websites like " Newfoundland's Grand Banks" at
You also have to look for the spelling "Tavernor"
