Ruth,
Hi. You are related to me as well. Edna is my grandma. Charles was married once prior to being married to my great grandma, Elsie. They had 2 children, Alice, who has passed away and Edna, who is still alive. Edna married Everett Lyman and had 3 children, Barbara, my mom, Angene and Keith. Great grandma, would not leave with Charles to go to Montana with him on some sort of adventure, left Souix City and moved to Iowa Falls. She lived behind the hospital at the bottom of the hill. She remarried a many who my mom knew as grandpa to her. His name was Harry Berlin. Great grandma was a sweetie. She was a short lady. She died of colon cancer
Great grandpa Charles remarried in Missouri, but no one knows of his 3rd family. That is what I would like to find out. My understanding, he went on to have more children. Grandma has wondered for years what they were like, etc. She didn't know her father very well. There may have been other reasons behind the divorce, but no one knows. My grandma has quite a few health problems. She has really bad type II diabeties. My mom inherited it as well. Grandma has glaucoma and has had heart complications from the side effects of diabeties.
I hope I have answered some questions for you. If you know anything about the 3rd marriage, please share. Also, do you know if or when there will be a Taute reunion? I would love to go.
Thanks,
Stacy Williams
