The info that John Wesley Cox (c1832-c1899, m. Frances H. Spears) was the son of Cullen Cox is incorrect. John Wesley Cox was the son of James Cox (c1812-?) and Frances Ashburn (c1812-1853), who married in Jones Co., GA on 11 Sep 1831. James and Frances' other children were: George W. (b. c1834), James A. (b. c1837), William C. (b. c1840), Green (b. c1843), and Louisa (b. c1847). They were members of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Taylor Co., GA. Prior to the formation of Taylor Co., they were listed in Marion Co., GA in the 1850 census, on the page before the family of Nathaniel Spears, father of John Wesley Cox's future wife, Frances H. Spears.
