Thanks for your note. But I'm sorry that I will be of no help to you. The family connection I thought my wife had with a John Howell and Mary Tatum (which I wrote about way too quickly in Tatum Family Gen. Forum #1717) soon vanished when I discovered that I had confused my wife's ancestor, an Orange Co., NC, John Howell (1725-1792) (whose wife apparently is not known) with the earlier born, Surry Co. VA, John Howell (1680-1716). I wrote a retraction of my #1717 Tatum Family Gen-Forum entry (a retraction that is Gen-Forum #1752). I apologize for posting my #1717 entry at the time I was on the wrong track. Best wishes to you on your Tatum search(es).
