I would like to offer a retraction of my last year's Tatum Family GenForum entry (#1717) that told of my confidence that my wife's ancestor, Mary Tatum, married John Howell (1675/80-1717). (And I wish that GerForum allowed withdrawals of all-too-hastily submitted entries.) Looking back at last year's #1717 entry, now a sadder and wiser person, I suspect that I confused my wife's ancestor, an Orange Co., NC, John Howell (1725-1792) (whose wife apparently is not known), with a Surry Co., VA, John Howard (1680-1716). I apologize for last year's Tatum Family #1717 submission. Mea Culpa. Dallas Lacy
