I am trying to find the connection with Nancy Steel to the Tatum line. Nancy Steel married Richard McDaniel but I feel that Nancy Steel was Nancy Tatum and had previous married a Steel before she married a McDaniel but can not find the connection. Nancy named one of her daughters Mahalia Tatum McDaniel-Mahalia went by Haley--even in the 1850 census from Walker Co, listed Mahalia as Haley T. McDaniel. and Mahalia was born in Walker County GA in 1850 the same place where John Tatum had died in 1850. Another daughter of Nancy's was named Cynthia Louisa..
There are just too many clues leading to Nancy Steel being a Nancy Tatum first.
I would love for someone to help me figure this mystery.. We have been trying to find Nancy Steel's parents but I think that Nancy's parents were from the Tatum line.
