I would like to know if anyone has visited the former lands and cemetery of Joshua P. Tatum located in Union County Arkansas. A description of the land is shown on a GLO survey plat dated 1839 located in Section 15 and 16, Township 19 South, Range 14 West, 5th PM. Other Tatum lands are also shown in the township. The plat and land grant to Joshua Tatum can be viewed at www.glorecords.blm.gov. using the aforementioned information.
I have a note concerning Tatum cemeteries dated 1968 that nothing is left of the Tatum plantation cemetery but a few broken headstones. Access is difficult. Aerial photos and topo maps are available to view the area at www.geocommunicator.gov
