Edmond Beech Tatum lived in Phila and probably married there. Had uncle Robert Tatum was in British Army. Edmond came from wealthy family in England before coming to US. The family in England was in the cutlery business. Enmond purchased boat named the Ivanhoe in Phila. and sailed it to Mobile, Ala. sometime in late 1830's or 1840s
In Ala. Edmond owned over 150 acres, called Tatumville. He was trampled by horse and died abt 1848 in Ala. Wife was Sarah Whitebread Straton of England. A daughter Helen Mawr Tatum married Abisha Styron.
Looking for any other information for Edmond and wife Sarah.
Thanks,
Sally
