I have little information to provide, but would appreciate assistance with my search.
I am descended from Rev. John Tillett the subject of a biography entitled, The Iron Duke of the Methodist Itinerancy. According to this biography, John Tillett was born in the Shiloh community of Camden Co, NC in 1765 and I believe he was the youngest of 3 sons. There was also a daughter Hannah who married a man with the surname Dowdy, but I have no idea where she came in the birth order. According to the bio, John's parents were Isaac Tillett and his second wife, Ann Tatum. It says that after Isaac died in 1815, Ann remarried, but doesn't provide any further information -- neither how long after she was widowed she remarried or the name of her second husband.
Isaac Tillett was listed in the 1790 census as living in Currituck Co, NC. The 1790 census for Currituck Co, NC lists 4 men with the surname Tatom: Benjamin, David, John, and William.
If anyone has information which will help me to identify the parents of Ann Tatum who married Isaac Tillett, I would be extremely grateful.
