I started researching my tree just last year. I bought a CD from Geneology.com and got back pretty far on my dad's side. Last week I was on a business trip in Salt Lake City and went to the Family Research Center there. I know that my Great Great Great Grandfather was Thomas Tatman married to Margaret House and that he lived in Allegany County, Maryland as early as 1807 (I found his name in an early Maryland records book). I also found some microfilm (I have not looked at it yet) that suggested that Thomas probably came to Maryland from Delaware. It also suggested that there were two original Tatman men that immigrated to America from England (both spelled their name Totman and later it changed). As of yet I do not have any definite info for Thomas that says he came from Delaware.
