James Arnold Tash died 20 April 1988 in New Albany, Indiana, age 48 years per his obituary published in the Scott County Journal, Scottsburg, Indiana, 30 April 1988. He was cremated and his ashes buried at the base of his parent's headstone at Bethel Cemetery, Leota, Scott County, Indiana. His parents, William Everett Tash (6 June 1901 - 20 May 1981) married Nellie Dowling (22 August 1911 - 18 March 1983) on 24 December 1929 in Scott County, Indiana. James was their seventh child, born 16 October 1939 in Scott County, Indiana. He was my uncle, brother to my mother, Joyce (Tash) Harmon. There were also three other daughters, Violet June, Goldie Aileen and Phyllis Maxine
