Deramy Irene Tarvin and Fort Mims

I'm a descendant of Deramy Irene Tarvin (through Elijah Boone). I see that apparently her parents died in the massacre at Fort Mims in August 1813. Irene (and her siblings) were very young at that event. My question is: where were Irene and her siblings during the attack on Fort Mims? Does anyone have any information regarding this?
