Lyndon,

I find the will of JOHN BOYKIN, made 4-12-1772, probated December Ct 1777, Northampton Co., NC, in which he leaves to son, JESSE BOYKIN, land he now lives on which I bought of Thomas Hart; son, BURRELL BOYKIN, land he now lives on the joining land on tghe Beaver pond and likewise the plantation at Cate's Hole which I bought of Charles Campbell; son, JOHN BOYKIN, the plantation I now live on after death of my wife, SARAH BOYKIN, and the new survey he now lives on; to grandson, ROBERT BOYKIN, the plantation my son JEREMIAH BOYKIN lives on and all my land on the west side of deep Run, joining the sd plantation; 30 pounds to be used for the taking out of 3 deeds; lend wife use of my negroes to go to my 5 children and grandson: JESSE, BURRELL, JOHN, HARRIET, SARAH, and ROBERT, residue of my estate to go to my wife and five children and my grandson.
Extrs: my son JOHN; Benjamin Harrison, Jr., and Thomas Jordan. Wit: Thomas Brantley, James Brantley, Martha Brantley, her mark.

SARAH BOYKIN was a daughter of THOMAS HART, whose will was made 5-19-1761, probated Aug Court 1761. His wife was ANNE HART.

I do not have the estate records of SARAH BOYKIN of 1787, but the JAMES TARVER could not be the JAMES TARVER who died 1777, Northampton Co., NC). He could be the son of this James and his wife, LUCY SEAT, daughter of BILLISON SEAT.

I would be happy to compare data with you.

Bob
